Wish it were longer to hold along longer nails. Also chips off the edges if it accidentally grabs something metal.

If you move the magnet back and forth along side the entire length of the nail, you should get the same or very similar results as if you were to hold a long magnet in place. Additionally, since the magnet is very strong, if it accidentally magnetizes onto something else metal with heavy force, it will chip or break your magnet due to the size and force of the contact.
